Martita Abril es artista escénica, curadora, organizadora y artista docente. Aporta 10 años de experiencia trabajando en organizaciones artísticas sin fines de lucro con sede en Nueva York como Gerente de Programas y Eventos.

Martita puede ofrecer estrategias y puntos de vista sobre:

  • Asesoramiento a oportunidades de trabajo/becas/pasantías
  • Asesoramiento en solicitudes de residencias artísticas y becas
  • Reseña de currículum/carta de presentación, CV de danza

Martita Abril es de la ciudad fronteriza de Tijuana, México. Ha beneficiado de ambos lados del Programa de Tutoría de Artistas Inmigrantes de NYFA, e imparte talleres en español para familias en iLAND (Laboratorio Interdisciplinario para el Arte, la Naturaleza y la Danza) en jardines de Bushwick, Brooklyn. Es co-curadora de In/Between, una exposición anual de artistas inmigrantes desarrollada en asociación con New York Live Arts y el Programa de mentores de artistas inmigrantes de NYFA. Abril es actualmente la Coordinadora de la Movement Research serie en Judson Memorial Church, y una artista residente en The Kitchen en el Programa de Danza y Proceso. Ella reside en la frontera de Bushwick/Greenpoint en Brooklyn con su pareja y 31 plantas, la mayoría de las cuales están vivas.
